Oscar Wilde Memorial Sculpture

The statue of Oscar Wilde, 2010

The Oscar Wilde Memorial Sculpture is a collection


of statues in Merrion Square in Dublin, Ireland. It com-
memorates the Irish poet and playwright Oscar Wilde.
The sculpture was unveiled in 1997 and was designed
by Danny Osborne.[1] It gained the nicknames of The
Queer with the Leer[2] and The Fag on the Crag[3][4][5]
from Dubliners.
