TRAINING/SIMULATION
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) MALAM division has received orders from the Israeli Air Force (IAF) for its EHUD Air Combat Manoeuvring
Instrumentation (ACMI) system, the company announced on 12 June.
The systems will be used by the IAF for training between combat aircraft and the Lavi training aircraft.
EHUD is a fully autonomous ACMI system designed to offer a combination of airborne combat training coupled with ground-based capabilities.
The system can be used for air-to-air, air-to-ground and EW training/debriefing. The use of EHUD opens the door for shared live drills and debriefing with the Lavi
aircraft based on the EHUD network.
EHUD will be mounted on various combat aircraft until the installation of fixed systems. This will allow the fourth generation combat aircraft to undertake combat
scenarios with the Lavi, which are already equipped with the EHUD system.
