Art with Hodo

Hodo, from reading your previous learning stories, you have shown you like to explore the
different curriculum areas in the centre. You especially like to do this amongst your peers and
teachers. Today, it was no different, a small group of us were at the art area and you came to
see what we were making. You carefully observed us as we made our little artwork-fish out
of our hand prints. While watching, you came up to me saying I would like to make one
please teacher. Without any hesitation, you took a piece of orange paper and asked for some
help to trace your hands. I insisted that you traced your own hands first and I assured you that
I would help if needed. After much trial and error, you managed to trace half your hands and
said I need help, Teacher and I showed you how to trace the rest of your hands. We then
cut the paper and started making the fish look pretty. You choose 3 different coloured papers
and started cutting them into smaller pieces and stuck them on your fish. When your fish was
ready, you happily and proudly walked around the classroom, telling your peers excitedly
Look, my fish!.

Hodo, it is great to see you showing interest in different curriculum areas in the centre.
Today, you displayed an interest in art. While you were doing this, you showed great
confidence, perseverance, focus and concentration, mashaAllah and Ka Pai, Hodo!

With all these wonderful attributes you possess, I wonder in which area of the
curriculum you are going to use it next.
