CARROT & STICK : Membership Maintenance

One of the key problems that the organization is facing is the low number of members
and an even lower number of active members turn out. Last term, we have decided to
strictly adhere to the guidelines provided in the constitution about membership status
(probation, warning status, etc.) to improve, for the lack of a better term, the
quality of our members as well as to encourage active participation and attendance
from the members. However, we also want to ensure that active members will remain
active; to do that, we need both sanctions and incentives.

In previous GAs as well as the assessment done after the UYF 2017, it was brought up
that it was hard to represent the organization without any official identification. As
incentive to participate actively in the orgs activities, I propose that active status
members will have the privilege of having an official UNESCO Club business card and/or
ID. Probationary and warning status members will not be eligible to receive them.

#SQUADGOALS : Monthly Committee Tasks

To further enrich the relationship dynamics within each committee (and in turn, within
the organization), a monthly task will be provided for each committee to accomplish
together. Each task will be designed to foster camaraderie between the members of the
committee, as well as to provide a way for them to bond outside the parameters of
committee and/or org work.

WASSUP! : Regular GAs and Committee Updates

In an organization, it is important to always communicate, communicate, and
communicate. Every semester, the Internals Committee will regularly hold GAs with or
without ongoing projects. It will serve as an avenue for each committee to update the
whole org of their plans and projects; it is important that each committee project
must receive full support not just from the organizers and the committee members but
also from all the members. GAs will also be held for the sake of bonding between the
members (and if applicable, the applicants), and also so everyone has an idea of the
ongoing projects or tasks happening within the org.
