1. Laziness Cant be Killed Only Defeated - Look human beings are
perpetually at war with laziness, its like the war on terror. You can only mitigate the damage terrorist can do, but you cant get rid of them. So I dont want you think about laziness and discipline as character traits, I want you think of them more of moods. 2. I Got Rid of Laziness Weapons - I dont own a TV, I study without my phone, I have a porn blocker on my computer, and I leave my apartment to get work done. The more distractions I get rid of the easier it becomes for me to focus on the task at hand, because I really dont have any other options. What most people dont realize about laziness is that its actually bad prioritizing. So if you can get rid of the things that the lazy part of you prioritizes over getting your work done, the easier it will be for you to get into a disciplined mood. 3. I Stop Depending on Feelings - Motivation is fickle and thats why I dont depend on it to get my work done. I do my work, especially if I dont feel like it, so that it trains me to go against my feelings. Feelings generally follow actions, you dont usually feel like going on a run until you are half way through your run, the same with every activity that helps you grow. Discipline is the act of doing what needs to be done whether you feel like it or not. 4. Stopped Fantasizing - Fantasy drains your discipline. Instead of making up a world where you are a better person, take that moment and work towards becoming that person. Let fantasy be a trigger to get you working on the goal thats going to help you get there. Write down a list of your common fantasies, and then write down what action you will take whenever you begin dream. 5. Get Real - The biggest change that happened to me was when I was in college and I realized that I could very well be a failure. Success isnt guaranteed, most people are unsuccessful, and most successful people fall way short of their dreams. So stop acting like life owes you anything and go out and take what you think should be yours.
