Chapter 1

Introduction

People nowadays are experiencing stress, indisposed, sickly, and etc Because of their

busy life in terms of their different career. Sometimes they forget to bring a happiness in to their

lives. They need to relax more, not just as individuals but as whole societies and cultures. Times

have changed.

Biologically they need to go slow sometimes, to zone out and relax. Culturally life

demands they be constantly focused and active. If not properly managed, these cultural pressures

can wreak huge damage on their health and efficiency.

Because of this problem the proponent putting up a business that help many people to

relax; to attain a state of increased calmness; or otherwise reduce levels of pain, anxiety, stress or

anger.

The proponents choose the place of Silang, like most of the towns in the province of

Cavite, depends on a mainly agricultural economy. The primary crops grown in the area are

coconut, coffee, corn, banana, pineapple, and tree crops like mango, lansones, caimito, santol,

jackfruit, guava, and avocado. Fertile soils and abundant water sources make Silang suitable not

only for common commercial crops but also for high value and exotic crops production. Most of

the local farmers practice intercropping to increase land productivity and lessen soil erosion.

Fruit production exceeds the demand of the municipalitys population, thus, supply excesses are

marketed to Metro Manila and neighboring urban centers. A number of poultry and swine farms

are also located in some rural barangays. Manufacturing and trade, aside from agriculture are
ASIA TECHNOLOGICAL SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND ARTS

Silangs other major sources of income. Trade and investments grew tremendously with the

influx of both Manila-based and foreign investors. Total investments were estimated at P2.5

billion between 1996 and 2004, which helped bring about the employment of 3,000 people.

Despite the slowdown of progress in the year 2004, Land Value still soared, allowing investors

to infiltrate and start business. The investment trend resulted in the increase in the price of prime

realty from P3, 000 to P15, 000 per square meter and from P150 to P500 per square meter for

raw lots in interior barangays. Trade establishments in Silang include gasoline stations,

convenience stores, lumber/hardware traders, groceries, resorts, and hotels.

The fastest way to get to the municipality of Silang is approximately 45 kilometers south

of Manila. General Trias, Dasmarias and General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) bound it on the

south and on the west by Amadeo. Silang is noted for its relatively cool and invigorating climate.

Tourism is a major employment generator, both directly and indirectly. Tourism quickly

creates income for small and large businesses, for the government through sales tax revenues and

for households through wages from tourism-related jobs. The income collected by the

government in the form of taxes is providing activities, services and products used by tourists.

The surge of jobs in a tourist-flocked spot promotes vocational and skills development opens up

opportunities for youth to gain experience and knowledge and allows the government to export

world-class services.

The development of tourism in regions and provinces away from the metropolitan area

paves the way for tourism infrastructure spending. The once poorly developed areas are

integrated with proper infrastructures and are given more opportunities for economic growth.
ASIA TECHNOLOGICAL SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND ARTS

Tourism also improves the Philippines' image in the international trade. A travel-friendly country

promotes a culture of tourism, where visitors, locals and the whole community are able to share a

safe and clean environment.

Mission

To operate a class A resort to cater maximum relaxation among the possible clienteles of

this endeavour.

Vision

Resorts of Asia within a period of 5 years, shall up the most modern resort not only in the

Philippines but throughout Asia.

CHAPTER 2

MARKET STUDY

INTRODUCTION

Market study refers to making a study of the market by environmental scanning through

interview and various data collection methods. This includes Market description, Population of the

target, location of target area. The success of the business relies on marketing applied. One of this

is to know if there is demand for the business. This aspect will serves as the basis for the financial

section through the projected demand, how much is supply can we share in the market and the cost

of ads and promotions that we will be used to sustained the existence of our business in the

industry.

Business market research is important because it is the process of collecting data to

determine whether a particular service will satisfy the needs of the customers. With effective

market research, the company can gain invaluable information about the competitors, economic

shifts, demographics, the current market trends and the spending traits of the customers.

The proponent use Primary Data to gather the information. Primary data is collecting data

for own purpose using survey, interviews and focus group experiments to support their own

marketing decisions.

Major Competitors

Our Resorts compete with other theme, water and amusement parks and with other

types of recreational facilities and forms of entertainment, including movies, sports attractions

and vacation travel. The principal competitive factors of a Resort include location, price, the

uniqueness and perceived quality of the rides and attractions, the atmosphere and cleanliness of

the park and the quality of its food and entertainment.

Service Capabilities

There are 40,000 to 50,000 people who came and visit our Resorts of Asia a day because

we have world class quality in terms of services and the daily inspection of our rides in order for

our customers to be safety and have fun!

TERMS OF SALES

For small amount of payment the proponent will going to use cash basis. It refers to a major

accounting method that recognizes revenues and expenses at the time physical cash is actually

received or paid out.

ASIA TECHNOLOGICAL SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND ARTS

Cash basis accounting is simpler and cheaper to perform than accrual accounting, and for

small business owners and independent contractors with no inventory, it usually meets the

financial need.

Geographic Location

The municipality of Silang is approximately 45 kilometers south of Manila. General

Trias, Dasmarias and General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) bound it on the south and on the west

by Amadeo. Silang is noted for its relatively cool and invigorating climate.

The proponent choose to build the proposed business at Silang Cavite, because Silang Cavite has

a vast land which the proponent can buy a land with 10 hectares or 100,000 sqm for the placement

of his proposed business.

TRANSPORTATION
ASIA TECHNOLOGICAL SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND ARTS

45 kilometers south from Manila using own cars or to commute.

PROMOTIONAL AND ADVERTISING SKILLS

Most business use advertisement because without these it would not be possible to tell

people about new products and services, innovation would grind to a halt and there would be

remarkably few products around. It would be near impossible to innovate in a world where it's not

possible to tell people efficiently about what you have done. Television and radio advertisement

as their main promotional strategy. It increases the awareness of the public because of the large

number of people watching television and listening to the radios. And due to the rapid growth of

technology, businesses create blog or page about the product and the business for the people to

know more about their products.

EXPECTED MARKETING PROBLEMS

Not so well known to the Philippines and abroad so the competitors are targets our

customers and offers them a similar service at below our cost - until our business has failed. So

how the proponent solve the problem? Make more advertisement.
