Sub: Status of LSWP Work- Provision of closed shed for General Stores with gate.

Diesel Loco Shed, Kazipet is presently maintaining 175 locomotives and its holding is on increasing
trend. The shed is facing the problem of insufficient covered storage facility for storing the locomotive
components. Due to the non-availability of covered shed, these components/materials are kept outside to
open atmospheric conditions which is leading to corrosion/deterioration of the same. As such, a closed shed
is essentially required to store the materials.
Accordingly, this shed has got sanction for the work of Provision of closed shed with gate during
the year 2009-10 under LSWP, PH-4200. The details are given below,

This closed shed is being constructed nearby General Stores Building. The work has started on
19.01.2016 and completed up to foundation level. Thereafter, there is no further progress to the work till
date.
Hence it is requested to advise the plan of further progress on this work.
