D. SCENARIO
(Module 1.2) A 28-year-old woman admitted to the local clinic (Puskesmas) and
escorted by the police. She confessed that she was beated by her husband last night.
She tried to run away from home, yet the husband is too strong for her. They just
entered 3 years of married, with a 2-year-old daughter. Her right eye is particularly
painfull, yet no vision disturbance. She had headache since last night and feeling
nausea, she can remember every detail of the incidence. She reported the brutal act of
her husband in a nearby police station. However, she has no idea whether she has
made a correct decision. She has no intention to have her husband detained by the
police, because financially the whole family depend on her husband.
The students are expect to be able to :
1. Explain the pathomechanism of injury / traumatic wound using the knowledge of
histology, anatomy, physiology of the human body..
2. Describe the characteristic of wounds.
3. Explain the possible characteristic of agent that might cause wound.
4. Explain the severity / degree of the wound in accordance with the establish law.
