SUBJECT: The oil cooled disc brakes (OCDB) maintenance intervals and recommended oil type is not
described in the operation and maintenance manual (OMM) or current service manual.
CAUSE: The factory installed oil cooled disc brake system features a self-contained pressurized cooling
system with dedicated oil coolers to keep the brake system operating a peak performance.
The OCDB are standard equipment on P36000 and optional on P17500 ~ P33000 models.

RESOLUTION
After one month or 200 service hours which ever accrues first, it is very important that the last chance
filters be removed and cleaned. Failure to clean the last chance filters may result in reduced brake
service life.
Replace WDB oil every 6 months or (1000 hrs) which ever occurs first:

Operate the lift truck for 10 minutes while applying the brake pedal on and off several times.
Brake pedal: On/Off
-Travel speed: 0 to 15 km/h (0 9 mph)
-Travel time: Forward 5 min. / Reverse 5 min.
