I had a tremendous trust and respect for the summer schools teachers judgement. I never
once thought that the students needs werent being met or was concerned about the material they
were teaching. I trusted that they created engaging lessons. When I assisted in each room, they
students were always motivated and engaged.

As a group of teachers we did determine what the students would be learning each day to go
along with the theme of Around the World in 12 Days.

Topics for each Day of instruction

Day 1: North America

Day 2: South America
Day 3: Europe
Day 4: Asia
Day 5: Africa
Day 6: Australia
Day 7: Antarctica
Day 8: Ocean
Day 9: Volcano
Day 10: Space and stars
Day 11: Space and stars
Day 12: Mini field day, creamery, and star lab

With having these broad topics each teacher was able to plan an activity. When the
student went to ENCORE they were able to share the information they have learned so far and
the craft, games, or technology tied in nicely to what they were learning for reading and math.
