Working on the budget to see how many staff members we can have teaching summer school.

The budget for teachers is $18,000. You also have 2,800 for preplanning that must be spent before June
30th. Not sure of the cost for Christ Kopco I would budget around $40 per hour (since teachers are paid per
diem) for however long you think you will need him factoring in set up and tear down of the star lab as
well. We are still working on the logistics of the iPad touches and the vr viewers. Hope this info helps!

Ok, Here is the math I have done about the funding for the staff.
I averaged that each teacher would get paid about $40 per hour.
Summer school is 7 hours X 12 days = 84 hours
84 hours X $40 per hour = $3,360 per teacher
$3,360 X 5 teachers = $16,800
We would only have $1,200 extra
If we are able to get Chris Kopco to come he would be approximately $280 if he needed to stay the
entire day and including set-up and tear down of the star lab.
Leaving us with $920 left to pay the two Google Classroom distant learning teachers. It would
probably be safe to say that we could offer these two teachers $500-$600 because not all of the
teachers doing summer school has an hourly rate of $40.
Now for the pre-planning for teachers
$2,700 / 5 teachers = $540 per teacher
$25 per hour X 21 hours per teacher = $525
$525 X 5 teachers = $2,625
Leaving us with $75 remaining.
So I can tell the summer school teachers they would have 21 hours to plan for summer school.
Does this math sound realistic and correct?

Ordering supplies and checking prices for summer school. Also purchasing for ENCORE and
field day activities, prizes, and incentives. Emailing the summer school teachers to see what
additional supplies they would need. I had $1,800 to use to purchase the materials the summer
school teachers wanted.

I was able to meet with my former principal in the Spring of 2016 and I completed this
paper for my Public School Finance Class.

I later was able to meet with my current principal to look at the budget since I wasnt able
to in 2016.
