Lesson Plan First Class Teen 6


Unit 5: Enjoy your vacation!
Teacher: Orlando Guerrero
Hours: 2:45
Goals: Students will talk about vacations; describe your favorite activities and places on your last vacation.
Objective: Talk about vacations activities using experiences from last vacation and other trips.
Announce: overdrive service
Remember to students: Five rules 1. Respect your partner and teacher
2. Speak only English during the class.
3. Obey orders when they are important for your education.
4. Follow directions and rules for each game or activity.
5. Keep the classroom neat and tidy.

Warm up: students will describe their last experiences on their vacations using some images and then teacher
will show some flashcards to relate the words with the audio track 2.15, then they will ask each other in
groups of three find someone who with their worksheets and then they will go to find the pictures of them
doing any vacation activity mimicking, before they will ask the teachers to give them any action to take the
picture. Feedback: Teacher will observe them and check their sentences and their performances. (10 min)

Transition: Teacher will ask students what type of vacation is it? Where do you think they are staying?
What do you think they do every day?

Activity 1: Students will make groups of two according with their numbers, second, they will complete
exercises 3 and 4, then teacher will tell them that they will create a poster about what advantages and
disadvantages of a family vacation are. They will use the vocabulary that they learned from the unit. Finally,
Feedback: Ill observe their performances and collect their posters. (20min).

Transition: Teacher will say that they are going to create a vacation bucket list for their partners, but they will
be alone in this trip so they will describe their partners bucket list after they have asked to their partners these
questions: how long have you stayed in another place that isnt your house? How many countries have you
visited? How many days have you travelled without your partners? How much have you spent in night party?
How many hours have you spent in front of T.V. screen playing video games? How have you ridden your bike
from your house? How much weight have you carried on airplane? How long have you lived in Cali? then
teacher will ask to present their suggestion vacation bucket list. (10min)

Activity 2: Students will complete these questions and create a poster with their vacation bucket list. Finally,
they will practice a conversation about the millionaires bucket list and how is it like their desires. Feedback:
Teacher will observe them and check their answers. (20min).

Transition: Teacher will say they are going to listen to Riannas song where have you been? (10min)

Activity 3: They will Listen to the song and then they will organize the lyrics of where have you been? By
Rianna in groups of six and then the others will ask questions about questions about what is the meaning of
this song?
Transition: Teacher will tell students that they will play tic tac toc about a listen of different adventures of
tourists. (10min).

Wrap up Activity 4: students will play tic tac toc game about activities that some tourists have done on their
journeys, then one leader of each group is going to ask a question about teachers journeys experiences.
Finally, they will write their answers on piece of paper.

Homework: students will bring a picture of where they would like to go on their school trip when they have
finished eleventh grade in their schools and what will they get there?
Materials: book, pictures, sheets of paper, posters, markers, tape recorder.

Exam activity: Students will learn new vocabulary about outdoor activities Feedback: I will check making yes
or not questions in present perfect tense. (20min).

Extra activity:
they will organize information questions to make a conversation.
-students will make questionnaire whether appear questions about favorites and yes or not questions about what
teenagers like and dislike outdoor activities. Feedback: On the whiteboard, they will correct doing a
presentation of their questions.
