Lesson Plan Thirteenth Class Teen 3


Unit 4: Is it a Crime?
Teacher: Orlando Guerrero
Hours: 1:45
Goals: Students will talk about bad actions elaborating affirmative, negative, questions and answers in Past
continuous.
Objective: Talk about bad actions and ask questions in past continuous to prevent bullying.
Announce: overdrive service
Remember to students: Five rules 1. Respect your partner and teacher
2. Speak only English during the class
3. Obey orders when they are important for your education.
4. Follow directions and rules for each game or activity.
5. Keep the classroom neat and tidy

Warm up: students will watch a video on the following link


https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHz0W5A2yws then they will answer some questions about the video for
example: what were the robbers doing? who was the superhero in? what do you think your grandma could do
the same? Feedback: Teacher will observe them and check their sentences and performances on page 35. (10
min)

Transition: Teacher will say that they are going to answer some questions to create a new prom after they
answer some questions about the situation, they will work in pairs

2.When did it take place?
3.How many robbers were there?
4.Were they wearing disguises?
5.Were they armed?
6.How many robbers were there?
7.What did the workers and customers do?
8.Was anybody injured?
9.What did the robbers take?
10.How did they get away?
11.Who called the police?
12.When did the police arrive?
13.were the robbers caught while they were robbing?

Activity 1: In pairs students will make up their news, after one of the students read their news from
powerpoint. feedback: teacher will correct pronunciation and their exercise on the whiteboard as whole class.
(20min)
Transition: Teacher will say that they are going to read about ancient civilizations and in pairs they will report
it to the other groups as an invitation to go to visit museums about Ancient civilizations. (10min)
Activity 2: students will work in pairs to write an invitation and report it to the other groups. Feedback: Ill
observe them and check their writings (20min).

Transition: Teacher will say you are going to answer questions on page 39 about ancient civilizations. (10min)
Activity 3. Students will make groups of three according with their numbers, second they will receive a paper
to elaborate their story about how they imagine it was the life of a teenager in the ancient civilizations, then
teacher will tell them that they will create sentences using the new vocabulary that they learned from the
reading on page 39. Finally, they will practice the conversation on page 39. Feedback: Ill observe their
performances and collect their papers. (20min).

Transition: Teacher will discuss with students some questions about the new unit 4 on page 41. (10min).

Wrap up Activity 4: students will listen to track 1.42 about Who is the criminal, then one leader from the
group will answer the questions on exercises 3 and 4 . Finally, they will write their answers on the whiteboard.

Homework: students will work in their books and they will complete the exercises 4 on page 37 and bring
them in format of biography (15min)
Materials: book, pictures, sheets of paper, posters, markers, tape recorder.

Exam activity: Students will learn new vocabulary about past lives on page 30Feedback: I will check making
yes or not questions in past continuous tense. (20min).

Extra activity: Students will look at pictures to spot differences between to pictures from pages 112 and their
schools; they are working in pairs to chitchat about the pictures differences using verb to have. Feedback: Ill
observe their performance in the activity. (10 min)
-they will organize information questions to make a conversation.
-students will make questionnaire whether appear questions about favorites and yes or not questions about what
teenagers like and dislike. Feedback: On the whiteboard they will correct doing a presentation of their
questions.
