Working Title (this may change later): Car Park

Genres incorporated: Thriller, psychological thriller

Primary Target Audience (age, gender, socio-economics, psychographics):

Males, teenagers-middle age
The film is not suited to a singular socio-economic status

Log Line (a snappy description of your story in 2-3 sentences. Like a blurb):
A boy (Andrew Peterson) wakes up dazed and confused in the middle of nowhere (a
forest-y area, on a crisp/rainy day. He locates his car, but someone (or something) is
watching him

Profile of the main character (name, age, gender, any relevant back story that
influences their actions or attitudes in the present):
Name: Andrew Peterson
Age:18
Traits: dazed & confused he doesnt understand why he has woken up in this
location and just wants to get to his car and leave. He is very nervous and this will be
shown in his body language (he will be jumpy and continually looking around
sharply, also heavy breathing and panting)

Locations: Devils Punchbowl, Thetford Forest

Props/ Costumes needed: Just casual clothes that are everyday clothes for the
protagonist (jeans, jumper/tee/hoodie, casual shoes/trainers).

Props car keys and car

Breakdown of Plot (think about how your story fits together and why were
watching these characters journeys):
Minute 1 Protagonist wakes up, against a tree (or at the bottom of pit,
whichever works better)

Minute 2 He gets up and goes to explore, finding his car keys along the way. He
picks them up
Minute 3 He sees his car and begins to walk to it. Hears footsteps, but cant see
anyone begins to run

Minute 4 Switch to fisheye lens from in the background (POV, watching

protagonist). Protagonist is visibly scared.

Minute 5 Camera switches between the POV and the protagonist, without
actually seeing who the POV view is from (hinting it is his imagination).
The edits become very fast as the protagonist eventually puts his keys
into the lock on the door. The POV camera comes extremely close to
the protagonist and it ends on a cliff-hanger

Narrative Structure:
It will be a linear narrative, as the shots are all in chronological order
Im undecided on whether Ill use a voiceover, or no speech. Because I had no
dialogue in my AS task, I would like to use the voiceover to use more
techniques and to show I can successfully use these techniques.

Specific filming and/ or editing techniques you intend to include:

I wanted to use the wide-angle lens to give a more interesting effect.
Furthermore, this will increase shot diversity.
I want the editing to get faster as the film goes along; this will create a very
tense atmosphere, which increases as the film goes along.
