Installation
Use the following steps to install BioStar VideoPhone on your PC.

1 Locate and run the BioStar VideoPhone installation file.

2 Click Next to continue.

 Installation

3 Select the desired installation path and user access then click Next to continue.

yy Browse: Select the desired installation path.

yy Disk Cost: Calculates the available disk space on the target drive.
yy Everyone / Just me: Select user access to the program.
'Everyone' All users can access BioStar VideoPhone.
'Just me' Only you can access BioStar VideoPhone.

4 Click Next to install BioStar VideoPhone.

Click Cancel to cancel the installation.

5 Click Close to finish installation.

A shortcut for BioStar VideoPhone will appear on the desktop.

Configuration

Configuring a Device
The host device must be configured before BioStar VideoPhone can be used. Follow the
procedure for the respective device to configure the device.

Configuring BioStation T2

1 Press Menu > Device > Interphone.

2 Select BS VideoPhone as the Interphone.

3 Press BS VideoPhone Setting to configure the BS VideoPhone.

yy Mode: Select Single or Extension.
Single: Connects one device to one computer.

Extension: Connects one device to a maximum of 8 computers.

yy Password: Create a 4 - 16 digit password.
yy Door Control: Check Door Control to remotely control doors using BioStar
VideoPhone.

Configuring FaceStation
1 Press Menu > Device > Interphone.

2 Select BS VideoPhone as the Interphone.

3 Press BS Videophone Setting to configure the BS VideoPhone.

yy Mode: Select Single or Extension.

Single: Connects one device to one computer.

Extension: Connects one device to a maximum of 8 computers.

yy PIN: Create a 4 - 16 digit password.
yy Door Control: Check Door Control to remotely control doors using BioStar
VideoPhone.

Configuring X-Station
1 Press Config > Device > Interphone.

2 Select BS VideoPhone as the Interphone.

3 Press to select and configure setting options.

yy BSVideoPhone Mode: Select Single or Extension.

Single: Connects one device to one computer.

Extension: Connects one device to a maximum of 8 computers.

yy BSVideoPhone Password: Create a 4 - 16 digit password.
yy BSVideoPhone DoorControl: Check BSVideoPhone DoorControl to remotely
control doors using BioStar VideoPhone.

Configuring a PC System
Make sure to check the followings before using BioStar VideoPhone.
yy Make sure to set Sound Recording to Microphone in Windows Control Panel before
using BioStar VideoPhone.
yy If communication is bad between devices and computers, you should have TCP 1490
and UDP 1491 services enabled in the firewall.

Login
Double-click the BioStar VideoPhone shortcut to open the login screen.

1 Select operational mode of the program.

yy User: Standard User Mode

yy Admin: Extension Configuration Mode

2 Enter an IP address of a connected device.

The Search button can be used to located connected devices.

i. Click Search to open the device search screen.

ii Click Start to search for connected devices.

iii Select a desired device and click Select to automatically enter the IP address of
the selected device into the login screen.

3 Select the type of connection.

yy Single: Connects one device directly to one computer.

yy Extension: Connects one device to a maximum of 8 computers using extension
numbers.

NOTE
This setting must match the setting on the device.
See 'Configuring a Device (Page 6)' for more details.

4 If the Extension mode is selected, the Extension field will be activated.

Enter an extension number.

NOTE
Log on as Admin to setup the desired extension numbers.
See 'Configuring Extensions (Page 16)' for more details.

5 Enter the password.

yy Single Mode: Use the password set on the device.
yy Extension Mode: Use the password set for the extension.

NOTE
When connecting to the device as an Admin, the connection options will be
deactivated. Use the password set on the device.

6 Click Login to log in to BioStar VideoPhone.

Click Cancel to exit the program.

NOTE
Check 'Remember IP Address' to save the IP address in BioStar VideoPhone.
Check 'Remember Extension number' to save the extension number in BioStar
VideoPhone.

 Operation

Using BioStar VideoPhone

A standby window of BioStar VideoPhone will appear when logging in as a standard user
or extension. When a video call request is made from the device, a live video will appear
and the program will begin ringing.

1 Video Screen: Views the video images when a video call is received from a device.
2 Microphone Volume Control Bar: Controls the microphone volume during a video call.
3 Speaker Volume Control Bar: Controls the speaker volume during a video call.
4 Answer Button: Answers a video call.
5 Hang Up Button: Disconnects a video call.
6 Open Door Button: Remotely opens a door of a connected device.
7 Logout Button: Exits the BioStar VideoPhone application.
NOTE
Click or X to run BioStar VideoPhone as a background process. It will keep running
and will be displayed within the system tray.

Configuring Extensions
Log on to BioStar VideoPhone as an Admin to setup the desired extensions for the
device.
A maximum of 8 extensions can be registered into the application.

NOTE
The 'Extension' mode must be enabled on the device to use the registered extensions.
See 'Configuring a Device (Page 6)' for more details.

Adding Extensions
1 Enter an IP address of an extension user.

2 Enter an extension number.

3 Enter an password.

4 Click Add to register the extension on the device.

5 Repeat steps 1 to 4 to register up to 7 more extensions (Maximum 8 extensions).

6 Click Logout to exit the BioStar VideoPhone.

Removing Extensions
Deleting an Extension

1 Double click the desired extension.

2 Click Delete to remove the extension.

Deleting All Extensions

Click Remove All to delete all of the registered extensions.

Refreshing the Extension List

Click Refresh to update the list of extensions.

NOTE
Click X to exit the BioStar VideoPhone.

Troubleshooting
When any issues arise while using BioStar VideoPhone, you can request technical support
from Suprema via email (sales@supremainc.com). When you send an email, please include
the following information:
yy The version of BioStar VideoPhone that you are using
yy The model and firmware version of the Suprema device that you are using
yy A detailed error message if an error message appears
yy A brief description regarding the issue
yy Your name and title
