Cylinder Selection

The cylinder selection box is reached by double clicking on the cylinder graphic box in the "Frame/Cylinder Data"
screen.

This box lists all of the cylinders (active and inactive) for the chosen frame, their bore, RDP, CFM, max RPM, and
rod load (approximately calculated compression, tension, and total) for the selected stage of the current application.
To select a cylinder, double click on it. Some cylinders will not be available for selection if certain application
limits, such as max cylinder speed or side by side clearance, is violated. When selecting tandem cylinders, only the
allowable mates for the crank end or head end cylinder that has been previously chosen, will appear as allowable
selections.

The cylinders are sorted by most relevant, based upon the desired speed and required pressures and flows. When a
cylinder is selected, any cylinder within the same class will also highlight to allow easy visual association of bores
in a class, or associated tandem cylinders.

The graphic at the top allows for stage assignments for each throw. The Auto Assign Stages button at the top offers
a short cut to the most typical stage assignment based upon the number of stages and number of throws selected on
the frame.

Cylinder filters on the left allow the user to filter the cylinders listed in the selection box according to the various
selection criteria.

Autoselect will provide a full selection of cylinders for the application and frame.

Model Explanations - Lists the meaning of the letter designations for the various cylinders, ie., CE, DW, ET, VS....

Loss Factor - The loss factor is a relative number to allow comparison between cylinders of percent pressure loss
across the cylinder and valves. The loss factor may be useful in selecting the better cylinder for the application.

The shortcut icon on the cylinder will open the cylinder configuration screen, allowing addition of suction valve
unloaders and selecting optional equipment or materials selections.
