Accepting the Happiness as above
Usually many little things makes me happy on daily basis, below I am listing few such
things:

1. Smell of rain
2. Sitting near window, having tea, pakora and a novel. This happiness increases if its
raining.
3. Having a place with my name on it.
4. A bird wallpaper in my bedroom wall which I just love to watch daily

5. My most cherished collection of novels

6. Pictures of me and my family collected over time
7. A good deal while shopping (be it online, grocerys or anything)
8. My father's daily status call at 10 PM sharp (for the past 9 years and more to go)
9. The ring of bell, when my husband comes home and smiles at me.
10. My husband's hug before he leaves to office daily
11. My mom's cooking
12. Sitting near Ganga ji in Triveni ghat, Rishikesh
13. Driving on two wheeler from Rishikesh to Dehradun or vice-versa
14. Chirping of birds in the morning.
15. Talking to a close friend on phone/skype for atleast an hour
16. To be at home on weekends, in pajamas, and just enjoy the moment
17. FRIENDS TV show
18. Kishore Kumar and Lata's voice, R.D.Burman's music
19. Dancing on some random tunes
20. Singing and that too "Bad, tune less singing" which irritates my husband and
friends.
Basically, the list is never ending and 90% of these things I enjoy daily.

I must say either I am very lucky or happiness lies in all the small and beautiful things which
you see and feel daily, but fail to notice.

Little Things in Life

by Regina Riggs

Too often we don't realize

what we have until it is gone;
Too often we wait too late to say
"I'm sorry - I was wrong"

Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones

we hold dearest to our hearts;
And we allow foolish things
to tear our lives apart

Far too many times we let

unimportant things into our minds;
And then it's usually too late
to see what made us blind

So be sure that you let people know

how much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words
before your time is through

Be sure that you appreciate

everything you've got
And be thankful for the little things
in life that mean a lot

ENJOY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This happened a long time back.

Once when I was walking towards the parking area, I saw the gardener of my office building
bent down in pain and nursing his leg. The parking area guard was crouched beside him too.
I sensed something amiss and approached them. I saw the the gardener, Mahesh was badly
hurt in his leg. I asked the parking guy, Biju to take him to a doctor as soon as possible.

But Mahesh said "Nahi ma'am, thoda sa mitti laga dunga, thik ho jayega (No ma'am, I ll
put some soil on the cut, it will heal)".

I was shocked as to what I was hearing and I told him that was not at all a good idea. Only
then Biju told me that Mahesh didn't have enough money for a doctor visit.

I did not think twice and asked them both to get in my car, took him to a doctor, got him
treated and bought him the prescribed medicines.

Since that day, whenever I arrive at office or at the end of the day, Mahesh, Biju, the security
guard, the cleaner and others would come greet me. Once or twice, they even have brought
me some home made dishes.

I have worked in various MNCs and never have I been shown such kindness or friendliness
from my "educated and sophisticated" colleagues.

The fact that some people care, makes me happy every time.
