    Abstract:
    Every year a large number of employees get injured due to accidents.Therefore
    there is a definite need to implement necessary safety measures in the industrial
    organizations. The safety requirements vary according to the hazard problems.Well
    organized safety management is a necessity in any successful industrial
    establishment. Globalization and economic reforms warrants Indian industries to
    adopt better safety management to stay competitive in international markets. Absence
    of safety measures would invariably lead to avoidable accidents resulting into injuries
    to persons,damage to equipment and machinery.The main driving force behind the
    industrial safety movement is the fact accidents are expensive, substantial savings can
    be made by preventing them.
