I Semester
Why Project Work?
Project Work is the best way to put into practice what has been learnt. This activity will enable
the students to collect, synthesize, utilize information, carry out SWOT and write a report.
Objectives:
1. To familiarize the students with organizational set up.
2. Enable the students to collect and sort the information required for writing the report.
3. To relate and practice the concepts learnt in research methodology.
4. To enable the students to present the information in a logical, comprehensive and
meaningful manner.
Project:
1. Aim of project work in I semester will be to make the students understand the important
aspects of an organization and how they affect the functioning of an organization.
2. The students will take up an organization (service/manufacturing unit) and study various
aspects of the unit as discussed in contents of the report. The students will generally use
secondary data but the primary data may also be used.

a.) Background and inception of the company

f.) Organizational Structure (Hierarchy of the organization & concerned department)
g.) Ownership Pattern
h.) Infrastructural facilities, Technology used
i.) Financial condition (Turnover, Profitability, Source of finance-long term& short term)
j.) Achievement Award if any
k.) Scope of improvement/growth to gain more market share/be competitive.
