Project Guidelines
2017
I Semester
Why Project Work?
Project Work is the best way to put into practice what has been learnt. This activity will enable
the students to collect, synthesize, utilize information, carry out SWOT and write a report.

Objectives:
1. To familiarize the students with organizational set up.
2. Enable the students to collect and sort the information required for writing the report.
3. To relate and practice the concepts learnt in research methodology.
4. To enable the students to present the information in a logical, comprehensive and
meaningful manner.

Project:

1. Aim of project work in I semester will be to make the students understand the important
aspects of an organization and how they affect the functioning of an organization.
2. The students will take up an organization (service/manufacturing unit) and study various
aspects of the unit as discussed in contents of the report. The students will generally use
secondary data but the primary data may also be used.

Guidelines:

1. One faulty will be nominated as internal guide for each student.


2. The student shall seek the guidance from the internal guide on a continuous basis, and the
guide shall give a certificate to the effect that the candidate has worked satisfactorily
under his/her guidance.
3. On completion of the project work, student shall prepare spiral bound report in following
format:
a.) The project report shall not exceed more than 40-50 pages.
b.) The project report shall be prepared using word processor viz. MS Word/Open source
OS/Linux
i.) Font Type: Times New Roman
ii.) Font Size: 12
iii.) Heading: Bold with font size 14
iv.) Sub-heading: Bold with font size 12
v.) Margins: 1
vi.) Line Spacing: 1
Note: Approval Certificate is issued by the Guide and Course Coordinator is mandatory before
final printing.

1. Cover page (Project Title, name of the student with roll no, name of the guide, Name of the
university & name of the institute along with logo)
2. Institute Certificate

4. Acknowledgement
5. Index
Note: Follow the sequence of the documents mentioned above.
