Guidelines for FINAL RESEARCH PROJECT

2023
Important Dates

TOPIC
1. Topic for the study is to be finalized with confirmation of your Research Guide.
2. The topic should pertain to empirical study being considered for the specialized area of
your BBA program (i.e. Banking and finance, HR, Finance , Logistics and Marketing
etc.)

RESEARCH PROJECT FORMAT


a. Introduction, 200-250 words
b. Literature Review, 500 words citing at least 10 research studies.
c. Research Methodology (it has to exhaustive citing all relevant details)
d. Research Objectives and Hypos
e. Rationale, Significance and Scope of Study
f. Tentative Chapter Plan
g. References
Detailed format is discussed in later pages.

DESK WORK, FIELD STUDY & ANALYSIS


1. After approval of Synopsis by Research Guide a student is required to commence
exhaustive study and references.
2. At each stage the student is to meet research guide for finalization of Study Variables,
Preparation of Questionnaire and Conduct of Field Study.
3. Student should get this concluded well in time and should get is verified by Research
Guide before going in for binding.

THE FINAL REPORT
1. Each student will make two copies of project report (one spiral binding & another one
hard bind) in the recommended format. First copy is to be submitted to the faculty guide
individually.

2. All the students are required to follow the following instruction.

a. There should not be any deviation from requirement of reproducing the cover page
of the report from the format prescribed below.

b. The cover page must be hard bound in Grey (Banking and finance), Black Color
(Finance Stream), Green (HR Stream), Maroon (Marketing Stream) and Blue
(Logistics Stream) with golden embossing of the literature as stated below.

c. The size of the report would depend on the project undertaken. However it must be
100 typed pages (1.5 spaces) on A4 size paper. All the students are required to use
the uniform font and format (except in heading and subheadings) through out the
text of the report. For example, if anybody uses “Times new roman” of font size 12
in the text, then he/she will be using the same through out the report.

d. If any material in the report is picked up from any source and the source name is
not referred in the bibliography section then it will be treated as a case of plagiarism
/cheating.

e. In case of any verbatim or narratives enclose them in quotes.

f. Typing Instructions:
• Margins Top =1inch, Left = 1.5 inch, Right = 1 inch, Bottom=1 inch.
• Types:
o Title- 16, Caps and Upper Case, Bold, Centered, 3 lines space.
o First Level Heading-14, Caps and Upper Case, Bold, Centered, 2 lines space.
o Second Level Heading-14, Caps and Lower Case, Bold, Left, 2 lines space.
o Third Level Heading-14, Caps and Lower Case, Bold, Same line.
o Between words: 1 space
o After a colon or semi colon: 2 spaces
o After a comma: 1 space
o After a full stop: 2 spaces
