ACS follows the Common Core State Standards in grades 9 and 10 and the IB DP for grades 11 and 12. I have
taught both the grade level and advanced courses for mathematics as well as a grade 10 general physics course.
I have also been the National Honor Society Coordinator, an active member of the Mathematics Professional
Learning Team, and the Grade 10 Coordinator.

As the head of the mathematics department, I lead my team to vertically align the mathematics courses taught

policies and procedures for the mathematics department and contributed to the development of many
school-wide policies. I served on the Curriculum Committee and the Social Committee, and I co-sponsored the
Student Council.

I actively worked to restructure the schools mathematics curriculum to align to the Common Core State
Standards, was a member of the Intervention Team, sponsored the National Honor Society, and lead the school
in technology integration. I was the first teacher in the district to implement an inverted instruction method
and had phenomenal results.
