A mathematics teacher that welcomes the opportunities afforded as a teacher to teach
life skills to children as well as critical thinking skills. I welcome and encourage parental engagement as a resource to improve the academic success of students. As a teacher by profession, I take great personal satisfaction in student learning and progress determined by authentic assessments. I strongly believe that for students to reach their maximum potential instilling self-confidence as well as respect for others is a must. I encourage discussion and the freedom to obtain answers via different paths and strategies. My aim as a teacher is to teach attention to detail through a mathematical lens. Teaching in America, Vietnam and Thailand has enabled me to adopt a culturally sensitive approach to teaching as well as the ability to adapt to new environments by showing respect and encouraging positivity.
