Student Teacher, Practicum Experience February 2021 – May 2021
Observed and assisted supervising practitioner in high school Geometry for 5 sections of 30 students each in
a remote learning environment
Utilized technology such as Pear Deck and Desmos to enhance remote learning while allowing for immediate
monitoring and assessment of how students were learning during the lesson.
Designed and taught three lessons using discovery-based inquiry to increase engagement with the material
and foster self-discovery of concepts
Collaborated with supervising practitioner to plan and implement meaningful lessons that set high standards
and met Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
Implemented daily Social-Emotional check-ins with students and weekly lessons focused on Social-Emotional
Learning.
Differentiated class work, homework, and instruction for a diverse range of learners including English
Language Learners, a hard-of-hearing student, and students on IEPs and 504s.
Created equitable assessments that assessed student’s learning of material and created data sets and
graphs to better understand learning of individual students as well as the whole class to better address any
gaps in learning.

Upward Bound at Boston University Boston, MA
Instructor June 2021 – August 2021
Taught 2 sections of Geometry and 2 sections of Algebra 2 in a remote learning environment during Upward
Bound’s summer program
Successfully took over with a smooth transition the Geometry class two weeks into the program
Implemented Universal Design of Learning into all lessons to support all student’s learning needs, including
English Language Learners and diverse learners.
Taught lessons focused on increasing student’s mathematical language fluency to better prepare them for
the up-coming school year by focusing on the mathematical and real-world interpretations of different math
terms alongside problem-solving.
Tutor Boston, MA
Zoom and in-person March 2020 – Present
Provided homework help and reviewed math concepts for students from 4 th grade to 11th grade in either
one-on-one or two-on-one settings
Reduced math anxiety and increased academic confidence of students that were struggling with math by
filling in gaps in learning, encouraging persistence
Assisted students with executive functioning disorders create homework and study plans to facilitate
independent work.
Assisted first grader in staying focused and on task during their zoom classes
