ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT

ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY MODE PROGRAM

The Department of Education is tasked to provide quality basic education that is

equitably accessible to all and lay the foundation for life long learning and service for the
common good. Due to the threat of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), many schools in the
country opted to bring classroom instruction online.

Aside from formal education, Department of Education offers alternative delivery mode
of interventions to meet the needs of young people in different communities. The ADMs address
the learning needs of marginalized pupils and those learners at risk of dropping out in order to
help them overcome social and economic constraints in their schooling.

The learning delivery modalities that our school adopted in the in times of pandemic is
the Modular Distance Learning which involves individualized instruction that allows learners to
use Self Learning Modules (SLM’s) in print or digital format, whichever is applicable in the
context of the learner and other learning resources like learner’s materials, textbooks and activity
sheets. The teacher takes the responsibility of monitoring the progress of the learners. The
learners may ask assistance from the teacher via phone calls, test message ang in group chat.

Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) of instruction had become an option of schools,

parents, and learners to access education. It allows learning at a distance and access to
information. Through distance learning, students can learn at their own pace, study anywhere,
anytime, and access varied online resources. Department of Education is continuously searching
for ways to make online learning for the students more effective and convenient. This mode of
instruction will be employed for the rest of the academic year if conditions remain unfavorable.
