NARRATIVE REPORT on LEARNING CANVA

(September 9, 2021)

In accordance to DepEd regular implementation of In-Service

Training, Paaralang Elementarya ng Muzon held its own school-based seminar via
Google meet to facilitate professional training and learning opportunities for teachers
in a New Normal situation.

The training was held on September 9, 2021 and was supported by

our school head, Ma’am Annabelle A. Comia, Head Teacher III and the leadership of
our focal person Ma’am Cornelia Bautista Pitos, Teacher III.

The session started at exactly 1:00 pm and was facilitated by

Ma’am April Rose C. Panganiban, Grade 4 teacher. A prayer was offered by ma’am
Cathleene M. Parcia, Grade 2 teacher, followed by the singing of the National
Anthem led by Ma’am Amelia D. Villarin, Grade 3 teacher and food thought by
Ma’am Anabelle B. De Torres, Grade 5 teacher.

Ma’am Annabelle Comia gave her welcome remarks through an

inspirational talk. She mentioned that nowadays, it is a must to know more about
technology whatever age you have because learning has no definite age. It is
important to learn different things despite this pandemic because of the current
situation.

The attendance was checked by Ma’am Nicole D. Daclan, Kinder

teacher and ofcourse, an energizer was led by Ma’am Emelyn M. Cudiamat as an
ice breaker before the start of the session.
Ma’am Cornelia B. Pitos started the session by introducing Canva,
a new graphic design platform used to create social media graphics, presentations,
posters, documents and other visual content. She mentioned that this is free for all
educators, that’s where it became exciting.

At the end of the discussion, Ma’am Pitos and Ma’am April let us
experience how to use Canva. We registered and did our first Canva posters. We
made invitation cards as our final output. Making posters and presentations was so
exciting and useful.

In General, we learned that innovation requires creating new ideas,

new methods and new products that we can use as teachers in any subject or our
students. Our “Canva Experience” was indeed a successful one.
