NARRATIVE REPORT ON PARENTS-TEACHERS ORIENTATION


(S.Y. 2022-2023)

“Tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I may remember, involve me and I’ll understand.”

(Chinese Proverb). Involvement of all the stakeholders especially the parents of the learners is

essential in ensuring the success of every objectives set by the school. Proper dissemination of

important matters about the learners, teachers and the school should be a priority. As the school

year was about to start, Jorge M. Padilla National High School’s Faculty and Staff are getting

ready to welcome the learners in a safe and child-friendly environment that will help them to

become the best version of themselves. As a part of the preparation, we invited all the parents

and guardians of our learners last August 18, 2022 Thursday, 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon held

at JMPNHS gymnasium for a Parents-Teachers Orientation. The goal of the meeting is to orient

the parents/guardians on the relevant information that they should know regarding the opening of

classes for the School Year 2022-2023, it also aims to address the concerns of the

parents/guardians. It started with the singing of the National Anthem led by Ma’am Marites I.

Dela Rosa and followed by a Prayer led by Ma’am Mernie Empleo. To formally welcome our

guests, parents/guardians, our School Principal Madam Marlie C. Eduardo gave them an

inspiring message followed by the roll call that was led by Ma’am Cherry Ann B. Lagasca to

check the attendance of the parents/guardians and to also energized them. After the roll call, the

Masters of the Ceremony introduced the first speaker, Sir Juancho E. Balbuena and talked about

the D.O. No. 34, s. 22 The School Calendar and followed by the second speaker, Ma’am Lucena

D.F. De Guzman and shared about the School Rules and Regulations. After that, the third
speaker was introduced, Ma’am Cherry Ann O. Escorpizo and she talked about the Health

Standards and Protocols, followed by the next speaker, Ma’am Sheryl S. Linsangan who

explained The Psychosocial Support Activities intended for the learners. Then the fifth speaker,

Ma’am Harriet S. Pangilinan was called and talked about the School Learning Recovery Plan

(SLRP). And for the last speaker, Sir Jomaros Pascua, shared about the School Monitoring,

Evaluation and Plan Adjustment (SMEPA). When all the Orientation Speakers were done with

their part, An open forum was done to address the inquiries and concerns of the

parents/guardians. All the questions that was raised during the forum was answered credibly by

the School Principal, Head Teacher and all the teachers. For the closing remark, Our Head

Teacher, Ma’am Maria Elsa S. Balbuena thanked all the parents/guardians who attended the said

orientation. She also introduced the Faculty and Staff of the school so they will be able to meet

the all the teaching and non-teaching staff of JMPNHS. The Parents-Teachers Orientation was

indeed a success for it opened the minds and hearts of everyone regarding the school opening for

the new school year. It is true that with proper involvement and collaboration between school

and the stakeholders nothing can be called impossible. The School’s success is everyone’s

success.
