A NARRATIVE REPORT ON LEARNING DELIVERY MODALITIES COURSE

(LDM2) FOR TEACHERS (Module 3A)

Hosted by Ms. Jenny Lyn F. Oraye and Ms. Norlyn T. Mendoza, the session started with
the checking of attendance. It was then followed by the singing of the Makabayan song and an
opening prayer through a video presentation. Then Ms. Norlyn recapitulated the previous session
by showing pictures of the previous activities done in Modules 1 and 2. And to inspire the
members, a food for thought was presented wherein it said that nobody is exempted from the
trials of life, but everyone can always poster a positive attitude despite these trials we have. Then
a game called “Can you guess the Gibberish” followed, where everyone in the group must be
able to decipher the group of unrelated words into its real phrases. In the said mind-blowing
game, Ms. Roxanne Landicho won.

After the opening program, the facilitators introduced the LAC leader, Ms. Mellanie R.
Corachea, who would discuss the topic for Module 3A: Designing Instruction in the Different
Learning Delivery Modalities. This module has three lessons: Lesson 1 which talks about
Understanding the Different LDMs (Learning Delivery Modalities); Lesson 2 which discusses

Designing Lessons and Assessments in the Different LDMs; and Lesson 3 which considers
Guiding and Monitoring Learners in the Different LDMs.

The LAC leader then gave the group tasks. This time, the members were divided into
three groups. Group 1 was assigned to do the activities in Lesson 1. In here, they were able to
define the learning delivery modalities (LDMs) and described the features of distance learning,
as well as its different types. Also, the group was able to identify the targeted interventions for
learners with special concerns.

Afterwards, Group 2 followed wherein their assigned task was all about Lesson 2, or the
lessons and assessments in the different LDMs. At this point, the group identified the
components of a well-designed lesson which is applicable for all LDMs. The group was also able
to enumerate learning tasks that can be incorporated in DL lessons. They also were able to select
formative and summative assessment tasks that can be incorporated in lessons to provide
students with feedback. It would also be helpful for teachers to monitor student’s learning.

Lastly, Group 3 proceeded wherein the task assigned to them are the activities under
Lesson 3 or guiding and monitoring learners in different LDMs. In the activities, Group 3 was
able to differentiate a weekly home learning plan from an individual learning monitoring plan.
The group was also able to create a weekly home learning plan and an individual learning
monitoring plan. To add to their report, the group also showed a video clip from YouTube which
clearly discussed how to do the weekly home learning plan and individual learning monitoring
plan.

After all the reporting were done, the LAC leader gave her comments and feedbacks
regarding the group presentation. She was so amazed with how each group collaborated to be
able to produce comprehensive outputs. After giving feedbacks, she then explained the members
about the outputs to be submitted in their Google Classroom.

The session ended with a closing prayer, still, giving thanks to God for the strength and
wisdom He bestowed to everyone in the group.
