prayer through a video presentation. The recapitulation was then narrated by Ms. Maricel
Mabiling where she described the previous activity using the 4S namely: Simula, Sunod sa
Gabay, Sinsay, and Suri. Afterwards, everyone was delighted with the food for thought wherein
it was discussed that though people fail and fall, we should never forget to rise, heal and
overcome. Meanwhile, to release the tension felt by the members in the group before the session
began, an exercise/ stretches for wrist tension relief was shown and everybody did the exercise
with excitement.

After the opening program, the floor was given to the LAC Leader and facilitator, Ms.
Mellanie R. Corachea, and she discussed thoroughly the contents and topic under Module 1.

(LAC) which refers to the setting up and preparing the LAC, and even the roles and
responsibilities of the different LAC members.

Afterwards, Ms. Corachea divided the members into two groups, and each group was
given their respective tasks/activities. Lesson 1 activities were given to Group 1 while Lesson 2
activities were given to Group 2. The first break out session has 45 minute-time allotment,
however, due to each group’s long preparation, it almost took them an hour to finish the tasks.
The reporting of each group was then executed and giving of feedback by the LAC leader
followed.

After Module 1, another module was introduced which is Module 2 or the Most Essential
Learning Competencies. Like Module 1, this module has two lessons: Lesson 1 which discussed
the background, rationale and development of MELCs, and Lesson 2 which talked about the
unpacking and combining MELCs into Learning Objectives.

Same procedure with the previous activities in Module 1 was done, where Group 1 took
over the activities in Lesson 1. They were able to identify the background and basic process of
the identification and development of MELCs. On the other hand, Group 2 are the ones who
discussed the activities in Lesson 2 or the vital considerations in unpacking and combining
MELCs. They were also able to unpack and combine sample MELCs in English 10. Again, 45
minutes were given to each group to prepare before they presented their output and Ms.
Corachea gave her comments and suggestions regarding the presentation.

The session ended with a closing prayer. Everyone expressed their gratitude to the LAC
leader for a challenging yet unique learning experience that had for the day. Also, the LAC
leader commended all the members for the efforts that they exerted for each activity given to
them. All are looking forward to more exciting activities to be done in the next days of the
session.
