Narrative Report on INSET of Teachers


S.Y. 2021-2022
February 14-18,2022

Pandemic has never stopped Padre Gregorio Crisostomo Integrated School to cater
the needs of the teacher in the delivery of quality learning through in service along with other
family schools of District IV. The in service training was completely embraced by district
IV family with the theme ”Tara Na! Distrito Apat ! Kayang-kaya Talaga ! Sama-samang
Mag-aral, Maghanda at Magsaya!” The Various teaching improvement were shared and
discussed, the affective side of teachers were expressed to raise support and comfort system.
Let us take on the list of the activities from day 1 to day 5
Day 1
The training started through a prayer by Ma’am Melanie S. Garcia and the opening
message of our beloved principal, Ma’am Trinidad G. Beltran. The first day covered the
orientation of the midyear-break review of school’s BE-LCOP and presentation of
SMEA/Year Evaluation PPAs. Reminders on dress code/water and electricity savings were
discussed by the head teacher Ma’am Antoinette B. Mendoza, webinar etiquette by Ma’am
Helen H. Garcia, the different school forms by ma’am Cheriedel L Villorante as she
reminded the teachers to check as early as now the forms of handled section to avoid
possible problems that may occur in the checking of forms and the filing of form 6 by
Ma’am Jean Carla Mariano .She made clarifications on the reasons of filing of form in this
time of half percentage of skeletal workforce.BE -LCOP was discussed by OIC Head, JHS
Department, Ma’am Cristhel A. Batalla and finally the SMEA Presentation and Learners
Performance were presented by Ma’am Trinidad Beltran
Day 2
The second day session starts to be productive as Sir Ferdinand Sayson reported of school’s
PPA’s, the different learning area updates by subject coordinator, sports update and teacher’s
performance were also laid out. The day was ended with discussing of ways forward to come
up with action plans per subject area and coordinatorship .
Day 3
Third day was truly blessed with the presence of all teachers of the District’s family school.
Kind and effective resource speakers shared their expertise in the training. Atty. Louise B.
Madriaga Longalong discussed legal matters, home quarantine and election guidelines.
Questions were raised and clarified especially on being an electoral board. Sir Mark Severino
Padilla and Jayson Dysangco had made a review on RA 8491-Flag Heraldic Code of the
Philippines. The behavior when facing the flag, proper position, how the flag is raised and
lowered and proper handling of the flag. The afternoon session was a productive time as Sir
Rommel Eugenio and Leoniel Castro conveyed Research work. The format and guidelines
were presented with questions being clarified.
Day 4
Teachers were encouraged to share in this inset district training the experiences they had
in the past, and the aspirations they have in this professional life. This activity attracted many
teachers to share theirs. Test construction and development of assessment tools were
reviewed through the initiatives of Ms. Michelle Domingo and Ms. Mylene Perez. E-Tulay
training was also discussed with full commitment by E-Tulay tutor Sir Jerik D. Diaz. The
afternoon session was the facilitation of learning through contextualization, localization
amidst pandemic, the ways forward in the reproduction of IMs for intervention and
remediation programs and collaboration for the test construction activity.
Day 5
The OIC -Head-JHS Department, Ma’am Cristhel Batalla headed us in the classroom
management and improvement ,preparation for face to face classes under DepEd Memo
No. 071 & 085 s.2021. A review on SSAT (School Safety Assessment Tool ) was done to
remind the teachers for the near approaching limited face to face classes. A full blast of
teachers’ talent was presented by grade level to close the in-service training with laughter
and the rejoicing for having accomplished the five -day inset. A big gratitude to our
Principal, Dr. Trinidad Beltran and of course our district supervisor, Ma’am Gemma C. Tan
for heading this five-day training for the upskilling and reskilling of the district 4 teachers.
