NARRATIVE REPORT ON CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

Every child has rights, no matter who they are or where they live. Our government has promised to
protect, respect and fulfill these rights, yet they are still violated.
Pinagtulayan Elementary School’s Child Protection Program focus on holding the government
accountable on children’s right standards by monitoring its performances and commitments and ensures
the protection of every learner under its care.
In this view, the school formulated and implemented a localized school-based child protection policy
adapted from D.D #4 S. 2012, Policy and Guidelines on Protection Children in school from Abuse,
Violence, Exploitation, Discrimination, Bullying, and other forms of abuse.
Our school conducted orientation and trainings to the parents to raise awareness on School Child
Protection Policy, Rights of every Child and other issues concerning the Child Protection Policy
Program.
The school-Based Child, Protection Program Chair-Person, Ma’am Jeanifer Beatriz C. Jader our
principal called a general PTA meeting to conduct the orientation. He discussed all the important topics
about the School Protection Policy.
During the Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao Subject (ESP) the teachers integrated the Child Protection
Policy to their lessons.
Best Practices:
 Raise awareness on the Child Protection Program through conducting orientation, seminars and
trainings.
 The school have quarterly monitoring and evaluation to ensure that the program have been
successfully implemented.
 Teachers integrated CPP during the ESP Subject.
 Involving the internal and external stakeholders in the Child Protection Program is one of the best
practices in implementing the program. Everyone is accountable for everyone’s protection from
violence, abuse and other forms of bullying.
Recommendations:
 Record keeping is essential in monitoring and evaluation.
 The school should conduct more researches, study and analysis in order to have modification on
School Protection Policy.
 The school should seek charitable contribution from people to make it possible for the school too
carry out programs and so much more. Someone to support the mission and work around the
community and good stewards to give generous donation, helping vulnerable children where the
need is greatest with whatever they need the most.
