LAC SESSION: STRESS MANAGEMENT FOR TEACHERS

NARRATIVE REPORT
MARCH 3, 2023AT EXACTLY 3:00 PM

Compliant to DepEd order of holding LAC with colleagues as a K to 12 Basic

Education Program School-Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy for
the improvement of teaching and Learning, Florence M. Santos High School conducted
LAC Session on “Stress Management for Teachers”. This was attended by all FMSHS
teachers headed by the brilliant school head, SIR VICTORIANO C. PATILUNA, MA-
ELT, held on March 4, 2023.

The session officially started with a prayer at exactly 3:00 in the afternoon,
followed by the singing of the national anthem, regional anthem, and the city’s anthem.
Then the facilitator, Ma’am Chrystaline Intawon, presented the objectives of the session
and introduced the background of the topic. The presentation was mostly delivered
through slides, and videos. It was an interactive session, ran smoothly bereft of
intelligent questions and relevant interactions.

The first strategy was that the facilitator gave a brief activity, in which the
teachers written down the stressors they encountered that day up to the smallest ones.
Next, she went through the definitions, implications and importance of stress
management for teachers. Followed by engaging questions, through which teachers will
be able to understand and cope with managing stress. Every teacher needs to foster
their stress management since they need to be stable as they are source, thus, this
LAC session was very useful. Through this, teachers were able to cope up with
stressors, learned ideas and concepts on managing stress and were able to distinguish
types of stress.

Other matters were presented by the school head and he ended the session with
a conclusion.
