VITAMIN C GEL, ACID FERULIC AND VITAMIN E

Ascorbic acid 15 g

Ferulic acid 0.5 g

Alpha Tocopherol 1 mL

Propylene glycol 5 mL

Hydroxyethylcellulose (5000 CPS) 2 g

20% NaOH aqueous solution c s

Water Conservans csp 100 mL

MODUS OPERANDI

1 make the necessary calculations.

2. weigh or measure each component properly.

3. dissolve the Ferulic acid in 60 mL of water Conservans at 60 C using a Shaker.

4 cool Ferulic solution add vitamin C and continue stirring until it dissolves.

5 dissolve alpha tocopherol in propylene glycol and add it to the above solution
while stirring.

6. adjust the pH to 5.6 with NaOH solution, which requires to add approximately
10 mL of the solution.

7. crush the Hydroxyethylcellulose (if not fine powder) and slowly add
to the previous solution stirring while cooling to form the gel.
