Body assembling

1. Put the side board into the molding with the top side (80 cm horizontal) facing down. Draw
the line and cut on the axis of the molding. Do this step for the other side board as well to
make each end of them meet at the right point.

2. Attach the head and tail block on the axis to make them firm on the middle of the upper and
lower end.
3. Install the linings on the edge of the side board from the head block all the way to the tail
block and clamp them with the binder clips.

This is how it looks when the glue is dry and firm.

4. Sand the tail block to make the back board convex. Leave the inside edge 1 mm high from
the side board. Take off the other edge until it is level with the side board.

5. Level the top side with it facing down on the sanding board.
6. Cut the end of the back braces to fit the back to the side.
7. Draw a pattern on the lining with the size of the brace tip, and then sculpt it to make a brace
slot.
8. Measure the distance from the edge of the upper end (12th fret) to the center point of the
sound hole with 15 cm long.

9. Put a Cedar plank with a measurement of 221 mm long, 27 mm wide, and 2 mm thick. Cut it
into six parts and glue them to the top board under the required position of the bridge.
10. Glue the top to the side.

11. Replace the waist supporter block with a one-off waist supporter stick which will be easily to
break with hand through the sound hole once the body is done.

12. Glue the back to the side.

13. Open the molding.

14. Cut the groove on the edge of the top with a router to put purfling and binding. Cut the
groove on the back as well, but just for the binding.
15. These are the bindings with 73 cm long, 6 mm thick, and 2 mm wide for each one. They are
made out of rosewood.

16. These are the purflings with 80 cm long, 2.5 mm thick, and 2 mm wide for each one. They
are made out of three layers which are spruce rosewood spruce.
17. Since the bindings are rosewood, they need to be bent with the side bender. The way to
bend the bindings is basically the same way to bend the side, except this time the molding is
replaced by the current body.
18. Once they are bent, they can be installed to the body. The purfling goes onto the inner
groove and the binding sits on the outer groove.

19. Put on some tape to help the glue bind them together until it is dry.
