WL-5460AP: Procedures for Upgrading Boot Loader (boot loader only)

1. Copy the files boot_v14a.bin to location C:\5460AP.

2. Connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN 1 port of WL-5460AP (this step is mandatory).

3. Open the internet protocol setup dialog and enter IP addresses as shown below:

4. Reboot the WL-5460AP device.

z While pressing and holding the Reset button of WL-5460AP, connect WL-5460AP
to its power supply.
z Keep holding the Reset button until the red light of the Status LED goes off.

5. After step 4, Launch DOS Command Prompt and type the following commands:
CD\5460AP
tftp i 192.168.1.6 put boot_v14a.bin

6. To verify the boot loader is successfully restored, open emergency code environment,
please manually reboot again L-5460AP.
z While pressing and holding the Reset button of WL-5460AP, connect WL-5460AP
to its power supply.
z Keep holding the Reset button until the red light of the Status LED goes off.

7. After step 6, open browser and key in IP address http://192.168.1.6/ of emergency

environment. Do not try ping at this process, ICMP will not response at this stage. You
should be able to see display as following screen capture:

8. You can then upgrade firmware as usual.
