II. New Business

Box Tops (Jennifer Stewart) -
-box in each classroom for kids to drop them in
-At home sheet w/50 boxes to tape box tops in (easier to count(
-First Deadline Oct 10th
Types of motivation for class competitions - donuts - if your class
wins can we have an extra recess - Principal Balli - be careful w/ nuts
-poster with visual running total
Membership Drive (Kaylene Barker)
Membership - send paper home w each student - can send $ but teacher not
collect
Remind and invite regular PTA
Sign for PTA meeting
Sign to put on road to say meeting coming up
In the mornings of drive w/ table so parents can ask questions and join w/
volunteering sign ups two tables (upfront and by drop off on north)
Superhero card for kids-with drawing once in awhile
Ask Mayor to promote a PTA drive during
School Shirts (Melanie Botts)

Do we want PTA on the sleeve for us -
Add PTA link to join on shirt site
Digital markee (ordered by principal - can use to promote our drives)

At district office much cheaper
And prints come out of PTA printing budget
III. Budget (Michelle Cisneros)
Present and vote on end of last year Budget Michelle presented last years end of
year budget for vote all said yay-(didnt have a quorum)
Battle of the Books
Eileen presented thoughts on Battle of the Books -
3 of each book into library -
Scholastic can give books -
Could we have donation options for parents at book fair
Could we go through Nebo foundation or get a grant -
Give a smaller part of budget to support Battle of Books
Grant offered to fund Battle of the Books
No Vote on Current Budget not enough paid members
