Human Resource Department OF Mobilink Pakistan.
 1. Background of Organization (Mobilink Orascom):-

Orascom telecom holding S.A.E was established in 1998 and has developed to become a
major player in telecommunication market in the world. It is considered as largest and
diversified network operations in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia and has
acquired in early 2008 a license to operate its mobile services in North Korea. It operates
GSM network in Algeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt and Zimbabwe.
In Pakistan Mobile communications limited (PMLC) was awarded a license in July 1992
under the brand name of (MOBILINK) and its starts its operation in august 1994. Initially
it was joint venture of Motorola and the Saif group later on in April 2001 OHT took over
the management of the company as the market leader it has more than 40% market shares
and serves above 24 subscribers and become the market leader.
Mobilink is the first cellular service provider to operates the 100% GSM digital
technology in Pakistan. Mobilink provide both postpaid (indigo) and prepaid (jazz)
solutions to its customer. Compared the competitors both postpaid (indigo) and prepaid
(jazz) are the largest brands of their kinds in Pakistan cellular services.
Mobilink provides the largest network in Pakistan it covers 5000+cities and towns
nationwide as well as over 130 countries on international roaming service.

2. Research methodology:

The data is ordinal type of data .The primary data for this research is gathered through
questionnaires while the secondary data is gathered through the past findings and
literature review.

3. Project Objective:

As we all know that Mobilink is the largest and the first cellular company of Pakistan
who introduce GSM technology with the vision to be the leading telecommunication
service provider in Pakistan assist the government in different matters and to provide the
quality services to its customers.
My area of study is to cover the main functions of the HRM department of the Mobilink.
To learn that how the HRM departments is working on its main functions in the company
and see the effects of this department on the company.

4. Problem Statement:-

How does faculty understand their work in the context of implementing HR policies,
training, recruitment and selection and performance appraisal in their departments?

5. Motivation For The Project:

Mobilink has the vision to be the leading telecommunication service provider in the
Pakistan and assist the government in different matters to provide the quality service to
its customers.
It is the first company in the Pakistan that provides the GSM technology in Pakistan.
Other quality services include postpaid (indigo), prepaid (jazz), mms, sms, internet
facilities, mobile PCO, and etc.

6. Study Design:

The project utilized the descriptive method in acquiring information for evaluation and
analysis. The descriptive process of research was believed to be direct investigation as it
seeks direct responses from the respondent’s of this study. In order to put all the research
on paper I had to collect data and information from the employees in HR department, HR
managers, place to place. Some of the data was gathered from the internet and from
articles from the newspaper as well.
 7. Population or Sample:

The population for this project will be the managers and employees and other staff
members. Most of the HR officers, managers and the supervisors and also the employees
in human resource department and for theoretical information gathered from the internet
and magazines.

8. Expected Outcome:

The outcomes of this project will be helpful for the reader and will be full of useful
knowledge, and to learn Inshah Allah.

9. Expected Time Of Completion:

According to my point of view to fulfill such a task it might take me about three weeks
after the acceptance of the proposal. May Allah bless me and help me to complete this
task effectively and help me to achieve to learn the purpose of this project.
