Building construction limits campus parking

State University is ex-
ploring possible solu-
tions to accommodate
parking while construc-
tion zones spread across
primary parking lots.
The current construc-
tion project includes the
demolition of Buildings
3 and 4 to build a new
state-of-the-art science
building that will take
about 23 months to
complete.
Mark Halverson, di-
rector of campus plan-
ning and construction,
estimated about 170
parking stalls will be
shut down as crews ex-
pand fencing across the
A2 lot into the Bell Tower
Plaza. Due to the length
of this project, the A2 lot
will not be in the lottery
this year, which means
the campus will lose
some parking for a while.
It will be quite a dis-
turbance to the cam-
pus, said Halverson.

With the addition of
the University of Idaho,
the athletic directors
of the Big Sky Confer-
ence had much to dis-
cuss earlier this month
when they met for their
annual spring meeting.
The Vandals will join
the conference in every
sport besides football
effective July 1.
With the addition of
another university, many
things needed to be dis-
cussed that varied from
scheduling in specific
sports to how conference
championships would be
handled. One of the main
things was the possibility
of the basketball confer-
ence championship be-
ing moved to a neutral
location.

eo game camp. Young
adults are invited to
come to WSUs Ogden
campus to learn to de-
sign and create a func-
tioning video game.
Camp goers are given
their own computer to
work with each day and
are placed on teams.
Each team has a pro-
fessor to mentor their
group. They work from
9 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. and
