Introduction

Ned “Cutter” Harris is an imposing and grizzled middle aged man. He affects
a casual, almost languid demeanour of brawler with nothing to lose which
conceals genuine intelligence and an even sharper perception. He is a classic
Australian Bushman – loyal, tough, honest, laidback, laconic, resourceful,
hardworking, courageous, egalitarian, rebellious, resilient and a self-reliant
bloke who confronts any misfortune with a joke. Cutter is prone to excessive
alcohol binges and other general abuse when not gainfully employed but
reverts to a solid professional when “on a job”

He plays up to the Great White Hunter image, including raptor skin jacket
and hat replete with an assortment of xeno teeth. On investigation he has a
bullet proof reputation built over the past fifteen years as a top class off
world hunter, trapper and explorer, although one that on occasionally runs a
little 'hot'.

Background
He can trace his genealogy all the way back to Earth when Britain decided to
use its new Australian outpost as a penal colony; the First Fleet of 11 ships
carried about 1500 people-half of them convicts. The fleet arrived in Sydney
Harbour on 26 January 1788, including one Jack “Cutter” Harris, a cutpurse
and expert poacher.

Over the generations, his line did not detour from its origins; swagmen and
petty criminals in the main.

In his formative years he worked security and critter control with his family.
A lottery win had sent them to a shake and bake colony on the frontier. He
quickly excelled and after a few years the corporate suits offered him a new
role in their exploration and survey team division. Here he worked with their
advance teams to setup new operations on far flung worlds. After a decade
tap-dancing for the company he has a gutful and decides to go it alone

Cutter has a track record in off world exploration, outfitting, security circles
and is on the books of a number of corps. He is also slowly establishing a
reputation with those who have specific big game requirements and a need
for privacy. Under advisement from these newfound, and commercially
aware, associates he sets up Outback Safari Consultants.

He has a Professional Hunter License and is a Full Professional Member of

the Terran Professional Hunters Association (TPHA). Cutter is Master
Measurer for both Safari Club International and Tyrell Guild of Field
Sportsmen.
