    Static loading

    Referring to Fig 1-1:

    If Load P is equal to 5000lb, and let the bar be 3 in wide and 0.5 in thick. The uniform position
    of bar is 60 in long. The material is steel then:

    a) Find the stress in the uniform portion of the bar.

    b) Find the deformation of the uniform portion of the bar.

    Use solidworks to draw the geometry and make the analysis on Ansys workbench.
