RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
Piazza is a website that allows teacher to invite their students to ask questions regarding homework, upcoming tests,
and anything else that has to do with the class. Students can post questions to the website and it will automatically
notify the teacher that a question was posted. The teacher and other students can reply to the question. The teacher
can also add student teacher to the form and allow them to answer questions. Students can reply to one another and
form discussions around questions. They can also refer back to previous questions asked and answered. This is a great
way for students to get help outside of class by the teacher and their peers. Its also a great study tool that they can
look on and get answers from questions their peers have asked.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

How might you integrate this resource in a lesson plan to promote collaboration among students in your classroom, or among
students and others outside of the classroom?
As a math teacher, this technology resource will be very beneficial for my class. It allows for students to work together
and with myself outside of class. Some students are too shy to ask questions in front of the entire class, so this
website allows for those students to ask me and their peers questions from the comfort of their smart phone or
computer. I will encourage my students to use Piazza whenever a question arises or when they need to communicate
with other students within the class. When tests and quizzes are coming up, I post questions on Piazza and encourage
my students to do the same so that they can get extended help when studying.
This website is something I would introduce at the beginning of the school year and use all year long. Ill continue to
remind my students to take advantage of this resources as it can be very beneficial for the studying and homework.
