Assignment One

1. Using MATLAB or any programming language compute the admittance matrix and the
power flow problems for the simple power system network shown below. Create a
function that can solve iteratively the power flow problems using Gauss Seidel, Newton
Rapson or Decoupled method and ,then, calculate
a. the magnitude and the phase angle of the voltage at each bus
b. the active and reactive powers that flow in each line

2. Feed the network data into the DIgSILENT application, carry out power flow analysis
and then compare the results with obtained in equation 1 above

The system data in per-unit on 100MVA base are given in the tables below.
