Introduction to CFD software.

ANSYS Fluent, CFD, CFX, FENSAP-ICE and related software are Computational Fluid
Dynamics software tools used by engineers for design and analysis. These tools can simulate
fluid flows in a virtual environment for example, the fluid dynamics of ship hulls; gas
turbine engines (including the compressors, combustion chamber, turbines and
afterburners); aircraft aerodynamics; pumps, fans, HVAC systems, mixing vessels, hydro
cyclones, vacuum cleaners, etc.

We will use the ANSYS for CFD analysis and flow simulation.
At the start of ANSYS workbench, there will be number of operations to perform and get the
result.

To perform any experiment, one first needs to create geometry as per requirements, or a
pre created geometry can also be imported.
After the completion of geometry, the meshing procedure is required. Meshing is the
procedure of dividing a given geometry in number of cells of equal size. The clearer the
meshing is, one will get more accurate result.
And after that to perform flow calculation and simulate the flow one needs to setup the
geometry by launching ANSYS FLUENT.

When ANSYS FLUENT is first started, the FLUENT Launcher is displayed, enabling you
to view and/or set certain ANSYS FLUENT start-up options.

And the general setting after launching ANSYS FLUENT are :

Materials for the CFD simulation

Boundary conditions for the CFD analysis

Solution parameters for the CFD simulation
