Reflection 1

I thought that diagnostic assessment should take at the begging of the semester
to check the students knowledge and see what the students level and what the
students strength and weakness in each subject. This will help the teacher to do
plan for the semester for the individual student to improve his ability in her/ his
weak. The teacher will observe each student and see his progressing and improve.
Also, the teacher checks if this plan works with the students or not. Students
need diagnostic assessment each semester to check their skills in each subject.
Its good to implement the diagnostic assessment in a UAE primary classroom to
check each student level and think about how to group the students in the
classroom and depend on what. Using diagnostic assessment in the primary school in
the UAE will able different learning environment to the students in the school and
also helping teacher when they did these assessments for students in each
subject. Each teacher should give the students these assessments to let them
think about the plan for individual students and also for all students in the
classroom. A low number of the students in the classroom will give teacher more
time to work with the child and give him/her attention. Teacher should give each
student a diagnostic assessment to let the student continues with each test until
the highest mastery level has been established (Roswell& Chall, 2013).
