Step 1: Read McHaffey, "The Age of Impetus" in re:COmposing.

Consider how this

article helps you understand the blog genre.

Step 2: Read Rand, "The Joke's on Me" in re:Composing. Consider how and why public
writing is challenging.

Step 3: Post all in Module 7 in Assignments.

1. Pick an issue and become an activist! Write 2-3 sentences about why this issues
matters and what you want to change.

Racism
I think racism should not occur nor should it be the blame of certain political views or
certain problems in the world. I want to change the fact that some people look at other
people differently because of color. Color does not define a person.

2. Choose the audience whom you most need to affect with your message.
The audience I need to affect are people who are racist.

3. Pick a genre which will appeal the most to your audience.

People who are racists usually use race against people when it comes to politics so if
politics were the center of this then it would appeal to them.

4. Pick the appeals--ethos, pathos, logos you will focus on using (you can use all
three!). Think about adding in examples.
I will focus on pathos because when you put emotion into things it changes the way
people think. I could use people who have been affected by racism and have them
share their personal feelings which could open up the way people think.
5. Find 3 primary source images you may use to persuade your specific audience and
post them below.
