Miss Romos 3rd grade class Room 10

Greetings
I look forward to an active school year with the outstanding
students at Westmont Elementary. In physical education, we will
cover important information that the students will learn to
implement into their day to day lives. I hope your child enjoys
physical education as much as I enjoy teaching it!
Goals and Objectives
I will be stressing the importance of
daily exercise(200 minutes every ten
school days as required for all
elementary schools), proper nutrition,
and pushing for exercise related family
events (hikes, etc.). We will cover
motor skills, movement patterns, and
learn strategies to improve health and
performance. Students will learn
sportsmanship and respect: two important qualities that can be
used outside of physical education.
My Philosophy
The purpose of education is to help bring out the potential in
students as they all have unique and special aspects which will
contribute to their becoming the leaders of tomorrow. Students
will reach their greatest potential with the proper guidance and
motivation. By giving my students the opportunity to remain
active during the school day, I am strengthening their attention
span in the classroom, thus improving their academic
performance. As an educator, it is important to know that
students come with various backgrounds, experiences, and
understandings. Communication among teachers and parents is the
ultimate foundation for student success.
