Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme

Information for Yemeni applicants 2017/2018

Eligibility:

All Yemeni applicants are eligible to apply for study programmes and preparatory programmes both
in Hungarian and in English language.

All applicants holding Yemeni citizenship are eligible to submit applications, regardless of their
current country of residence. Applicants may not have Hungarian citizenship.

Application process:

All applications must be submitted through the online application system of Tempus Public
Foundation: www.scholarship.hu by the deadline: 5 March 2017. Applicants are required to contact
the Ministry of Education of Yemen as well.

Nomination process:

After the application deadline, Tempus Public Foundation forwards the submitted applications to the
sending partner.

The nomination of applicants will be conducted based on the records of the Ministry of Education of
Yemen in Aden. Once the nomination has been finalised, the list of nominees will be forwarded to
the Embassy of Hungary in Riyadh by the Yemeni Embassy in Riyadh. The Embassy of Hungary in
Riyadh will forward the list of nominees to Tempus Public Foundation.

Applying for VISA:

After the decision on scholarships, the scholarship holders will receive a „Letter of Award” issued by
Tempus Public Foundation.

The scholarship holders are obliged to electronically forward the „Letter of Award” and a copy of
their passport to the Hungarian Consulate in Riyadh. (Collecting and forwarding the mentioned
documents can be conducted by Tempus Public Foundation in case it is needed.) The Hungarian
Consulate in Riyadh provides the necessary information to the scholarship holders about the
required documents, terms, and details of the VISA application process, such as location and booking
appointments.

The Hungarian Consulate in Riyadh will make an assessment comparing the records and data
provided by the Yemeni Embassy in Riyadh and by Tempus Public Foundation. Following the
assessment, the Consulate is responsible for getting in touch with the regional Hungarian Consulates
available for submitting the personal applications.
