1 Introductions

1.1 Purpose
The purpose of this report is to create a better Automatized Fire Protection
System that integrated with the Detector System to decrease the number of Fire
in a Storey Building. With calculate the Hazard Volume, Number of CO2 that
needed, Flooding Factor for the Spesific Hazard, Number of CO2 tube that
needed, and the Flowrate of the CO2 . This Report will be based on the NFPA 12
2012 about Standard on Carbon Dioxide Extinguishing Systems.

1.2 Background
The number of fire cases that have occurred in the workplace and give greatly
affects the workplace both financially and non financially. The existence of the
installation of fire protection system is the important role as fire prevention.
Generally such as Hydrant System, Sprinkler, Detector, but it can also be a
application of Fire Extinguisher, Emergency Evacuation Line and also the
Integrated System. Application of Integrated System is one solution to overcome
it.

Integrated system itself is a system that is assembled in such a way as to

overcome the fire in a work place. Integrated systems have 3 stages in the way
they work: sensoring, processing and extinction. In its application, it’s required
special calculations to make this system performance work perfectly that based
on standards.

So this report is made, which will discuss the integrated system in buildings
with total flooding system. With the focus point is on the room that have a
potential class C fire that must be extingushed with dry chemical powder or CO2
gas. In this integrated system is use pipes that containing dry chemical powder or
CO2 gas that flowed from the its tubes so as can extinguish the fire on high
voltage electricity without damaging the component.
1.3 Method Of Investigation
1. With Using the Basic Scientificc Methodology to answer the common
question, such as:
o What were the circumstances that allowed the fire to start in the first
place?
o Why, given the fire-extinguishing equipment and fire preventative
maintenance efforts, did the fire cause so much damage?
o Which piece or pieces of the fire prevention chain failed, and why?
2. Review of possible previously conducted investigations of the incident
3. The interviewing of witnesses or other knowledgeable persons
4. Information from published/peer reviewed books and articles
5. Observation, experiment or other direct collected to collect facts about the fire
incident.

1.4 Scope
Besides the those method of Investigation, the data of the dimension of the
room, and information of the pipe’s type is really needed to make a perfect work
of the Integrated System
