    This study examined the relationship between video game usage and conflict in romantic relationships. The researchers surveyed over 500 married or cohabiting heterosexual couples about their video game habits and levels of conflict. They found that when one or both partners engaged in more video game playing, it was associated with higher levels of conflict in the relationship. Specifically, higher video game usage predicted more conflict over feelings of neglect and relationship dissatisfaction reported by both partners.
