I am seeking to be a part of [Said University] post bachelor program. I believe I can execute my role
as a student, leader, and a professional while being a part of [Said University] program in a way that
promotes ethical standards of behavior. I understand that the program encourages students to have
a medical oriented mind, a will to collaborate well with others, excellent communication skills, and
leadership skills. I am confident that I am a strong candidate. My experience shows that I embody
the qualities that you are seeking in a well-rounded individual who desires to uphold the
requirements needed in an aspiring medical physician.

I understand the requirements needed to be accepted as a [Said University] graduate student. I

believe I meet these qualifications, as I have developed skills through employment and
participation in college organizations. As biology student, I have worked in many lab intensive
environments handling various bacteria and chemicals. I created my own methodology and means
of collecting data through Excel in order to support scientific questions asked. As an intern for the
Wellness Education Office, I worked with coding techniques and created initiatives in order to
better serve the student population dealing with mental health concerns, a lack of sexual
knowledge, and drug and alcohol abuse. I work as a Student Assistant and tutor for the Biology
Department, in which I have developed my ability to understand, explain, and foster an
environment where information is easily received. Also, as a leader of many organizations, such as
the President of the Diversity League and the Secretary of Tri Beta National Honors society, I have
exercised my ability to communicate efficiently and collaborate with others. I am also a Senior
Resident Advisor, in which I am responsible for supervising three Resident Advisors, and
maintaining the safety and security of undergraduates in the residence hall.

I recognize the role of a [Said University’s] graduate student and I believe that I exemplify traits
needed for this position. I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity and I will hold this position
