Your employers, manufacturers of kitchen utensils, have received complaints that the handles of some
of their saucepans are not heat-resistant as claimed. In some instances the material used has cracked.
An investigation has shown that this defect is confined to one particular batch. At the time of
production, supply difficulties necessitated the substitution of a material slightly different from the usual
one.

Write a suitable apologetic explanatory letter to the aggrieved customers. In your letter you should:

a. Assure them that the defect is not dangerous


b. Offer immediate free replacement of goods, all charges paid
c. Thank them for writing about the complaint
d. Explain the cause of the problem
e. Choose your own boss as the director
